Berlin, August 7th, 2026 - Funk Tribu returns with “LIFE”, a four-track conceptual project born from a moment when everything accelerated. As his career reached new heights, he found himself moving at the relentless pace that much of the music industry has come to normalise, but one that isn't built to last. Released via his own label, TRIBE, “LIFE” unfolds as a journey through soul (alma), mind (mente), body (cuerpo) and bonus track life (vida) Built around a clear conceptual framework, the project captures a necessary shift in perspective, reflecting on what it means to slow down, reconnect and redefine success on your own terms.
Over the past few years, Bogotá-born, Berlin-based producer Funk Tribu has been in constant motion. What began with the breakout success of “Phonky Tribu”, hitting over 100 million streams, quickly evolved into a global career, with rising demand taking him from a self-taught DJ and producer to some of the world's leading clubs and festivals, including UNVRS, Fabric London, Tomorrowland, Awakenings, Sónar, EDC, Timewarp and Lollapalooza. Along the way, he released his debut album, “Against All Odds”, cementing his place at the forefront of a new wave of trance-influenced electronic music.
“LIFE” emerges from the moment where that rhythm stopped feeling right. Written during an intense stretch of touring, the project reflects the point where something had to change in maintaining that level of output. Not as a collapse, but more a realisation that even within growth, there are limits. Rather than pushing further outward, “LIFE” turns inward. Not slowing down, but becoming more deliberate pushing against the idea that more is always better.
Marking a milestone in Funk Tribu's career, “LIFE” will also be released as a limited edition vinyl - his debut release on wax.
The three tracks follow that movement but take it on a different course. reborn (alma) opens in a more introspective space, closer to that initial reset. Where are you taking me? (mente) moves through something more unsettled, while this is the moment (cuerpo) lands somewhere more physical, where things stop being abstract, returning to the body and to the dancefloor as a place of grounding. Bonus track Life (vida) acts as a moment of closure, bringing the journey full circle with a quiet sense of reflection.

Sonically, “LIFE” stays rooted in the euphoric, trance-leaning world Funk Tribu has built, with vocals running throughout. reborn (alma) leans into a more expansive, euphoric space, built around a big emotional breakdown. where are you taking me? (mente) with Dillistone is more immediate, vocal-led from the start, with tight yet playful percussive movements underneath. this is the moment (cuerpo) pushes further. Sharper, slightly more aggressive, driven by acid lines, with angelic vocals cutting through to hold that balance.
Alongside the music, “LIFE” unfolds through a series of connected films that sit within the same world rather than directly illustrating the tracks. Each piece moves through a different state, grounded in some physical environments, movement and the moments in between. The visuals draw from that same reality; repetition, performance, aftermath, holding on fragments rather than resolving them, letting image and sound exist in parallel. “LIFE” doesn’t document a rise, rather capturing instead the point where continuation requires change.

Functioning as a platform for emotionally led, identity-rooted club music with a visual language to match. Its first releases Azul, Hold On and releases with rising global voices such as Afem Syko, Linds and BK turned the project into something larger than a record label. When he returned home for two sold-out nights at Bogotá’s Coliseo MedPlus, over twenty thousand people filled the arena.
